Accident with Entrapment on Old Wilmington Road |

| At 13:23 hours, the Sadsburyville Fire Company was dispatched to assist the Wagontown Fire Company for an auto accident with entrapment in the 600 block of Old Wilmington Road in West Caln Township. Initial 9‑1‑1 reports indicated that one subject was trapped inside a pickup truck and an additional patient was on scene. Medic 344‑1, already enroute at the time of dispatch, requested an additional transport unit based on the severity of the information received, bringing MICU 244‑1 to the assignment. Squad 35 and Engine 31 responded on the fire/rescue assignment. While units were responding, Chief 44 confirmed entrapment at the scene. Engine 31 arrived and immediately went in service with extrication equipment to stabilize the vehicle and begin opening it for patient access and packaging. Crews from Wagontown and Sadsburyville worked together to free the trapped occupant. Extrication was complete at 13:44 hours, and the patient was transferred into the care of EMS for transport and further evaluation. |
