Several of our members polished the Rescue Squad and headed out for a summer parade today, as the Modena Fire Company was celebrating their 100th anniversary. Their history says that on March 1st, 1922, John H Tyron, a councilman of Modena, organized the organization with 141 members. Here we are 100 years later and there is still a highly dedicated, trained group of men and women protecting the lives and property of Modena Borough, South Coatesville Borough and East Fallowfield Township.

Rescue 31 and multiple mutual aid fire companies from 3 different counties attended the parade. The parade began in the 100 block of Modena Road and ended at the fire station where a ceremony was held. The event led by Chief Frank Dowlin, was pulled off flawlessly by his volunteers and his leadership.

Thank you Modena Fire Company for growing through the past 100 years and here is to 100 more!
