On Saturday April 26th, 2021 at 1608 hours the Sadsburyville Fire Company was dispatched to assist the Westwood Fire Company on a building fire in the 300 block of Strode Avenue in Valley Township. Engine 31-1 with a crew of 4 made the response.

Upon arrival, crews ventilated the large nursing home facility of smoke caused by a fire in the laundry room on the basement division.

Engine 44-5 had initially been on scene for an automatic fire alarm when it was determined there was a fire in the building. Mutual aid from Coatesville, Modena, Cochranville, Wagontown, Keystone Valley, East Brandywine and Downingtown were all due on the assignment.
