It is with great sadness we inform you of the passing of Chief Engineer Claude “Buzz” Reynolds. Claude was not the current Chief Engineer, but served in this capacity for 30+ years at the Sadsburyville Fire Company.

Joining in 1956, at the age of 15, Buzz served our fire company up until his passing. His life was dedicated to serving others, not just at the Sadsburyville Fire Company but also through his career as a Firefighter for the City of Coatesville, where he retired in 2003.

In 2014, Engine 31-1 was dedicated to Buzz for his many years of service to the fire service. Buzz will best be remembered for the pride he had in his work and the dedication he had to the fire service.

Buzz’s son, Dave Reynolds, is our Assistant Chief and his grandson, Tyler Reynolds, is also a firefighter. We are proud to have multi-generational families serve at our fire company and hope to have this fire service tradition alive for many generations to come.

We have the family of Buzz in our thoughts and prayers as they go through this tragic time.

Units: 31-10
