On Wednesday August 21st, 2019 at 1957 hours the Sadsburyville Fire Company was dispatched to the 100 block of Airport Road in Valley Township for a building fire. Engine 31-1 made the response at 2001 hours. This was a Westwood Fire Company local and also the Wagontown Fire Company and Ladder 8 were responding.

Arriving first due at 2004 hours, Engine 31-1 took position on side A and began to investigate the reports of flames and smoke in a business. Additional apparatus arrived and staged in the front and rear of the strip mall. Chief McWilliams assumed the Airport Road Command and Deputy Chief Scott had operations.

Firefighters discovered a malfunctioning air conditioning unit and no services were required. All units cleared the scene at 2052 hours.
