Structure Fire in Rock Run

On Monday August 19th, 2019 at 2046 hours the Sadsburyville Fire Company and Wagontown Fire Companies were dispatched to the 200 block of South Mount Airy Road in the Rock Run section of Valley Township for a garage fire. The caller reported a detached garage on fire to the rear of a residence.
Chief Grossman arrived at 2053 hours reporting a single story garage detached from the dwelling and a small fire on the exterior. Engine 35 and Engine 31-2 arrived simultaneously and stretched a line to the fire and quickly extinguished it. Engine 44-5 supplied water to the scene.
Chief McWilliams arrived and established the command and Chief Grossman ran operations. The fire was under control within minutes and the incident was scaled back to the units on scene. One civilian was treated for a burn injury.
