Auto Accident In The Village

On Saturday March 13th, 2010 at 0943 during a rain storm, the Sadsburyville Fire Company and Pomeroy Ambulance were dispatched for an auto accident in the intersection of Old Wilmington Road and Lincoln Highway in the Village of Sadsburyville.

Deputy Chief Reynolds arrived on location within 3 minutes of dispatched and requested an ALS unit due to the injuries he found. Deputy Chief Reynolds assumed Route 30 Command.

Engine 31-1 (Grossman) with a crew of 4 and QRS 31 (Weaver) responded and arrived on scene just after the Deputy Chief and secured the hazards on the vehicles involved and began patient care.

Pomeroy Ambulance arrived and transported the injured with Medic 93 to a local hospital.

Units remained on the scene for a short time until be released by Route 30 Command.

Units: Engine 31-1, QRS 31
Mutual Aid: Ambulance 29-2, Medic 93
