Brush Fire on the Westbound Tracks

On April 3rd, 2019 at 1448 hours the Sadsburyville Fire Company was dispatched to Stovepipe Hill Road and North Street in Sadsbury Township for a brush fire. Initially there was conflicting reports but the fire was located on the tracks east of Old Wilmington Road.

Deputy Chief Brecht arrived and established the command and requested additional "forestry" resources. The fire had limited access so additional ATV's were called to the scene to stop the rapidly spreading brush fire. The fire was placed under control at 1543 hours and all units cleared the scene at 1700 hours.
