During the morning of Sunday April 7th, 2019, the Sadsburyville Fire Company was dispatched as the 2nd due engine company to a building fire in the 900 block of Commons Drive in West Sadsbury Township. Initially the Keystone Valley Fire Department was dispatched for a cooking appliance fire at 0452. At 0504 an updated report came advising flames from the roof of the building as well and a building assignment was alerted bringing the Gap, Honey Brook and Sadsburyville Fire Companies.

Engine 31-1 with a crew of 6 arrived at 0515 and backed up Keystone Engine and Ladder 08 already on scene. Sadsburyville firefighters led off with an additional dry chemical portable fire extinguisher to suppress the fire in the duct work. Crews also secured power to the cooking appliances and began ventilation.

The fire was under control around 0530 hours with all hands working. Sadsburyville fire crews cleared the scene at 0621 hours. Photographs courtesy of KVFD8.com.
