Saturday January 5th, 2019 brought two responses for our volunteers. Each incident Engine 31-1 was fully staffed and on the street within 4 minutes of being dispatched.

The first incident came in at 0751 for a reported house fire in the unit block of Timacula Road in East Fallowfield Township. Mutual aid from Modena, Sadsburyville and Cochranville were dispatched to assist the Westwood Fire Company. Engine 31-1 arrived second due and took the driveway to the structure. Crews investigated a burning electrical outlet and were clear of the scene within 20 minutes.

The second incident came at 2221 for a vehicle accident at Old Wilmington Road and Lincoln Highway in Sadsburyville. Additionally Keystone Valley EMS was also dispatched to assist. Firefighters arrived to find a two vehicle accident and nobody requiring EMS. Sadsburyville Fire Police directed traffic around the scene until Null’s Towing arrived to clear the roadway.
