This morning MES arrived at the Sadsburyville Fire Company to assemble our new self-contained breathing apparatus (airpacks) paid for by grant funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program. Through this process we were able to purchase an airpack for all seats of our fire engines, including the drivers, our utility and squad unit.

This grant was written by John Sly Grant Writing Services and we thank him for his services. This is the 3rd federal grant we have received solely for the SFC and we worked regionally where we have been a part of 2 grants with mutual aid fire companies.

The airpacks will be trained with prior to going in service and expected to be in service by the end of this week. Thank you to our volunteers for taking the time to train with our new equipment to assist with our mission of saving lives and property for the citizens of Sadsbury Township and surrounding communities. A portion of the grant funding will need to be paid for by our company which comes through public support and fundraising.
