Electrical Fire on Stacey Lane, Sadsbury Township

On Thursday January 18th, 2018 at 2241 hours the Sadsburyville Fire Company and mutual aid were dispatched to the 300 block of Stacy Lane in Sadsbury Township for a house fire. Initially the company was alerted for an electrical fire and the caller advised there was fire in the walls bringing additional resources.

Arriving at 2246 Chief Grossman assumed Stacy Lane Command and reported nothing showing from the exterior of a single story 15’x40’ mobile home.

Engine 31-1 arrived at 2246 with a crew of 6, firefighters deployed and charged the front bumper line to the main point of entry, made access and found a smoke condition inside. A quick search was completed and all occupants were evacuated.

Firefighters found a fire electrical in nature inside of a bedroom and extinguished. The power source to the home was also secured. Engine 31-2 arrived at 2251 and firefighters placed a positive pressure fan in service to get the smoke charged house empty.

The assignment was placed under control at 2253 and all mutual aid was recalled. The Americans Red Cross was summoned to the scene to provide assistance for the displaced family. The Sadsburyville Fire Company fielded 12 volunteers and was in service for 30 minutes.
