On Thursday June 22nd, 2017 as Bingo was about to begin, the company was alerted to the 900 block of Main Street in Valley Township for a house fire. Also responding on Fire Box 44-03 was the Westwood Fire Company and Wagontown Fire Company.

Arriving on scene within minutes, Westwood Battalion Chief Sly reported smoke showing, requested the working fire dispatch and established the Main Street Command. Chief Grossman arrived next and assumed operations.

Engine 31-1 arrived and assumed first due Engine company responsibilities, stretching the front bumper hose line to the front door and entered for fire attack. Engine 44-5 arrived second due and stretched a supply line to Engine 31-1, manpower went to the interior for fire attack.

Firefighters located the fire on Division 1 Charlie side and knocked it down. Hydroventilation was then performed while additional firefighters began opening up, checking for extension on Division 1 and 2. Firefighters also secured the utilities to the house for firefighter safety and performed a search to ensure all civilians were out of the structure.

Wagontown Firefighters established the rapid intervention assignment and were later broke down once the fire was under control to assist in salvage and overhaul.

Area EMS were on location to provide rehab and 1 civilian injury was treated. The Chester County Fire Marshal's Office was on location to investigate the cause of the fire.
