Blood Bourne Pathogen Training
By Fire Chief Adam Grossman
April 10, 2017
Annually our active personnel take part in bloodbourne pathogens training. At the Sadsburyville Fire Company we place our health and safety first, training like this prepares us for situations where our health and safety may be compromised.
Regularly our volunteers respond to auto accidents and assist the local EMS companies. By doing this, our people our exposed to bodily fluids that could cause harm to ourselves. We take proper precautionary measures to prevent any situation that would harm us but we never know what we are getting ourselves into.
The class was taught by Uwchlan Ambulance Corps. of Exton, Pennsylvania. From Sadsburyville, 17 volunteers participated and took roughly 3 hours to complete.
