On Monday, June 4th, 2012, Sadsburyville firefighters conducted car fire training with our neighboring station, the Westwood Fire Company.
The training was led by Westwood Chief McWilliams and Chief Grossman. Training began at 1900 hours.
Westwood Rescue 44 and Engine 31-1 were used for the evolutions. Rescue 44 used hand tools and deployed a crosslay to extinguish the fire. Firefighters were taught different techniques on fighting car fires.
After numerous evolutions both companies wrapped up at 2030. After the training area was cleaned up, crews filled their SCBA cylinders and got the apparatus back in service.
