On Saturday February 11th, 2012 at 1957 hours the Sadsburyville Fire Company and Pomeroy Ambulance were dispatched to Leike Road and Route 10 to assist the Police Department with lifting. Chief Grossman made the response at 2001 hours and was advised of a car that ran off the road with a paralyzed subject inside and needed assistance getting them up the snow bank. Chief Grossman and Engine 31-1 arrived on the scene at 2005 hours and assisted the patient carry by using a stair chair from Ambulance 29-1. Crews extricated the person from the car and into another car. Units cleared the scene at 2020 hours. While returning to Station at 2022 hours Chester County Radio Room alerted Engine 31-1 of an accident in the 700 block of Octorara Trail in Sadsbury Township. Ambulance 29-1 also made the response. Chief Grossman and Engine 31-1 arrived on location at 2027 hours to find a 3 vehicle accident blocking the south bound lane of Route 10. Due to the number of patients a second ambulance was dispatched and Ambulance 29-3 made the response. Firefighters assisted the EMS crews with patient care and packaging until the Ambulances arrived. Sadsburyville Fire Company cleared the scene at 2056 hours.
