| On January 21st, 2012 at 0010 hours the Sadsburyville Fire Company for both Engines were dispatched to assist the Wagontown Fire Company for smoke in the building in the 3400 block of Kings Highway in West Caln Township. Engine 31-1 responded at 0015 hours with 4 personnel followed by Engine 31-2 at 0017 hours with 4 personnel.
Engine 31-1 arrived on location at 0021 hours and deployed a 1-3/4" to the front door due to visible smoke inside the building. Engine 31-2 arrived shortly behind at 0024 hours and assisted the first in crews with forcible entry to the building. Martins Corner and Wagontown Fire Companies arrived and assisted with investigating the source of the smoke.
Assistant 35 Yearsley assumed Kings Highway Command. After there was determined to be no visible fire in the building Engine 31-1 crews set up a positive pressure fan at the front door to blow the smoke out of the building.
The situation was quickly under control. Units racked the hose pack onto Engine 31-1 and Sadsburyville units cleared the scene at 0108 hours. |
