First call for 2012 came just one day after the New Year rang in. On January 2nd, 2012 at 2012 hours the Sadsburyville Fire Company was dispatched to the 500 block of Lissie Lane in Sadsbury Township for a furnace malfunction. Caller reported seeing flames from there heater.

Assistant Chief Audette arrived on location at 2016 along with Engine 31-1 (FF Loesch), Engine 31-2 (Captain Zwick) with no smoke of fire visible from the exterior.

Assistant Chief Audette assumed Command on FD1 and Operations were led by Captain Zwick.

Interior crews found the fire to already have burned itself out in the heater. Engine 31-2's crew ascended to the roof top to assure there was no fire in the chimney coming from the heater. Findings were negative and the situation was quickly placed under control.

All units cleared the scene at 2027 hours.
