Water Training with Wagontown
By Assistant Chief Adam Grossman
August 4, 2010
On August 4th, 2010 the Sadsburyville Fire Company had the honors of training with the Wagontown Fire Company on water, hoses, foam and apparatus pumping. This was complete in the Highland Corporate Center, Valley Township using a hydrant in the rear of a cul-de-sac.
Engine 31-2 arrived at the pumping site with 4 personnel and established a water supply from Engine 35 that was piping off the hydrant. Engine 31-2 then led off with a 300' 1-3/4" off the rear and advanced to the flowing site. Wagontown units dropped a 3" line to a gated wye and practiced with their rack packs.
Following these evolutions Wagontown Chief Zeigler reviewed Foam operations using the Eductor and bucket method, just like we use on Engine 31-2.
All in all the night was good and had an enjoyful time with the Wagontown Fire Company.
