House Fire on the North Side, West Caln

On Thursday November 28th, 2019 at 1453, the Sadsburyville Fire Company was dispatched to the 1900 block of Valley Road in Sadsbury Township for a wires fire. Engine 31-1, Utility 31 and Chief 31 all responded. Upon arrival it was determined that PECO was needed to mitigate the incident and was notified.

Upon clearing from this incident the house fire assignment was dispatched for the 100 block of Lilly Road in West Caln Township assisting the Wagontown Fire Company. Honey Brook, White Horse and Keystone Valley also received the call for service.

Assistant 33 Ream arrived on location and advised of fire showing from a 1 story rancher. Crews from Engine 33-1 arrived and deployed two attack lines and made entry into the dwelling. Sadsburyville firefighters arrived and were assigned to the roof for vertical ventilation. The fire was quickly knocked down and only horizontal ventilation was needed.

Sadsburyville firefighters conducted a search of the dwelling and located two cats still alive and well that went missing during the time of the fire. Engine 31-2 also responded with additional manpower and Utility 31 assisted with traffic control.
