Engine 31-1 and Engine 31-2 made the response to Valley Township Monday for a building fire. The fire was reported in the 800 block of West Lincoln Highway, a Westwood Fire Company response zone. Wagontown Fire Company was also on the response for the Rapid Intervention Team (RIT).

Deputy Chief Brecht arrived on location first and reported smoke showing from a 1 story commercial property. Deputy 31 also assumed the Lincoln Highway Command.

Incoming units ran the front bumper line to the fire for suppression from Engine 31-1. A positive pressure fan was also set up to ventilate the building charged with smoke.

All occupants were able to escape the building on fire and report it to 911 before getting out of control. There were no injuries reported.
